Paul “Ace” Frehley former lead guitarist of KISS has been fighting a foreclosure in Westchester County New York since the filing of a Foreclosure Summons and Complaint in February of 2013.
Today, Saturday December 14, 2013 the house went up in flames.
Multiple fire companies were called to 1347 Spring Valley Road, Ossining NY 10562. The 75X30 2 story stone barn house was heavily damaged and flames burned through the roof.
There was a massive response and Firefighters from Millwood, Ossining, Croton, Somers, Katonah, Pocantico Hills, Bedford Hills, Mt. Kisco and Yorktown Heights fought the blaze for most of the day. Yorktown Police and EMS also assisted.
The fire was called in at about 11 a.m. and Firefighters were still on the scene at 3:30 this afternoon.
There are no hydrants in the area so tanker trucks were brought in to fill portable water tanks and more than 1200 feet of hose had to be used to reach the house from the road.
A Red Cross spokeswoman Carolyn Sherwin said the Red Cross was called in to help one resident, who was not identified, with emergency lodging.
“We are making arrangements to make sure he has emergency lodging,” Sherwin said.
There are no details as to the cause of the fire.
